Mixed Media and Art Creative Art project : Lady Butterfly/ Project Mixed Media and Art Creative Art: Lady Butterfly

Hello! Today, I am sharing with you my first participation to Mixed Media and Art Creative Art Project. This project is about creating different Mixed Media pieces, respecting some conditions. The first stage is called "Mechanical Explosion" and your project needs to have one metal element which is not from the scrap store and wings. So I decided I would use a half metal half plastic jewelry holder as a base. See: The jewlery holder itself and its leg are metal. The body and the foot are plastic. I painted it with a coat of... Shabby altered blackboard/ Tableau noir shabby altéré

Hello crafty friends ! In a few weeks, I will be moving in a new house, and I will finally have a craft room, or at least a craft space. I know exactly how I want it (mint, white and shabby), so I decided to start decorating it. A few years ago, my parents-in-law offered me a very rustic blackboard. I liked it, but I didn't know what to do with it, I put it in a cupboard and forgot about it until about a month ago. I forgot to take a picture of the board in its original state, but here it comes now: I painted it with white gesso... [Lire la suite]

It's a girl ! Celebrating Birth / C'est une fille : célébrer une naissance

Hello!   It's my second article in two days. Am I not really prolific ? Today I am sharing with you a canvas that I made for a friend's baby. This young lady is now one month old and I finally met her yesterday. As a birth present, I thought about a Mixed Media canvas of course. And obviously, because the baby is a girl, the canvas has to be pink and heart shaped. I wanted to create something she can have right now to put in her room but which she can also keep when she's older. If she likes it, of course. The shape was quite... [Lire la suite]

Vintage Mixed Media Canvas / Toile Mixed Media Vintage

Hello craftiful friends ! Today, I am going to share with you a mini canvas that I made for a friend. I think it really has a vintage look. But no more talking (for now :)), just see :  Now, let me explain to you how I made it. I first glued two metal filigrees and then apllied some gesso all over the canvas. Then, I put a bit of sand texture paste from Finnabair, two coats of Finnabair's acrylic paint, Art Alchemy Soft Satin, over which I built the composition : lace ribbon at the right of the canvas, a resin frame (I... To find out more, have a look at a... [Lire la suite]

Simon Says Stamp challenge: "Splatter It"/ Défi Simon Says Stamp: "

Hello Crafty friends !   Today,  I am going to share with you my last participation to the Smon Says Stamp challenge. This is the Wednesday challenge for this week, and it is called "Splatter it". I really like to splatter my work or create dots, but splatters give a more grungy look. For this challenge, I created this card :  I used a thick sheet of black paper, but I don't remember the paperweight of it. Then, I used my Prima Marketing Watercolor Metallic Accents to make the splatters. I used three colors :... [Lire la suite]

i created my stamping tool!!!/ J'ai créé mon propre stamping tool!!

Hello crafty friends!   Once month (a bit more) since I wrote my last post, sorry! Today, I am going to share with you something that I am really happy about :  I created my own stamping tool. I have heard about the Misti Stamping tool thanks to Jennifer McGuire and K Werner Design (you can follow their channels on Youtube, they both make cards and they are really inspiring! I love what they do), but I thought this tool is really really expensive. It exist in two format : a mini and a regular one. The Mini is about 45-50... [Lire la suite]

Card "It's a boy" /Carte de naissance "it's a boy"

Hello everyone,   I am sharing with you today this card I made for a friend who got a baby a few weeks ago. This is also my participation at Simon says Stamp wednesday's challenge, which is "use a patterned paper". I had quite some difficulties to find a patterned paper which fits the birth of a boy. I chose this one from Studio Light, this is the reference SCRAPSR02. It is masculine enough to my taste and has this vintage look that I love with the Polka dots and the "oldy" colors. I added to this paper two resin elements... [Lire la suite]

Review - Prima Marketing Finnabair's Acrylic paint/ Revue: la peinture acrylique de Finnabair, Prima Marketing

Hello everyone,   This post is going to be very long, and I apologize in advance. Today I am going to share with you my very first review, about the acrylic paint from Finnabair and Prima Marketing. I am sure there are plenty of reviews, but I wanted to do my own. I don't have (yet :D) every single acrylic paint from Finnabair (I think there are more than 40 colours!) but I am starting to have a nice collection. For now, I have 18 of them, from three different collections, plus a wax (which I won't present now, because it's... [Lire la suite]
