Simon says stamp Instagram challenge: summer

Hi all,    Simon Says Stamp launched a new challenge on IG! This month, the theme is 'summer'. I created two mini canvases (10x10 cm). For texture, I used sand paste and pearls, and as embellishments, I used shells of different sizes, and a molded mermaid tail.  I painted everything with white gesso and then a few layers of different Art Alchemy paints from Finnabair (I used Ice Queen, Opal Magic Blue-Violet and Frozen Berries). Then I added a few touches of Metallique Vintage rose and Light Patina. To finish my... [Lire la suite]

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: frame it!

Hello crafty friends... Today I am sharing with you my entry to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge of this week: Frame it. I created a small canvas(20x20cm), using a variety of products from Finnabair:   I started by painting my canvas with Black Gesso and then added some plaster paste on the diagonal of the canvas through my Swirly Florals stencil. I love this stencil very much, I can't stop using it! Then, I added a second layer of black gesso. While this was drying, I prepared the different pieces of my mandala... [Lire la suite]

Once upon a tale ...

Hello Mixed Media friends ! Today, I would like to share with you a project I really love. Soon, it will be one of my friends' birthday and I altered a notebook for her. I have been inspired by the Disney Movie "Tangled". For the cover, I used some paper clay pieces that I made with my Prima mold. I covered them with black gesso and then glued them on the front cover.  I started by applying a layer of Finnabair's Opal Magic violet blue, but ended up covering everything with Art Alchemy Sparks Iris Potion. Then I applied... [Lire la suite]

Altered jars - shabby chic on glass !

Hello crafty friends ! Today, I am sharing with you a very quick post about some jars I altered for my friends. These were very cute glass jars that I altered to give them a shabby look. Each of them has a different color combination, and I like each model. I started by painting each jar with white gesso and then added two layers of the first color. The first one is rose gold (Finnabair's Art Alchemy Sparks "Butterfly spells"). I added a bit of patina paste by Finnabair in turquoise here and there and tied a ribbon in a close... [Lire la suite]

Simon Says Stamp challenge: "Splatter It"/ Défi Simon Says Stamp: "

Hello Crafty friends !   Today,  I am going to share with you my last participation to the Smon Says Stamp challenge. This is the Wednesday challenge for this week, and it is called "Splatter it". I really like to splatter my work or create dots, but splatters give a more grungy look. For this challenge, I created this card :  I used a thick sheet of black paper, but I don't remember the paperweight of it. Then, I used my Prima Marketing Watercolor Metallic Accents to make the splatters. I used three colors :... [Lire la suite]

Review - Prima Marketing Finnabair's Acrylic paint/ Revue: la peinture acrylique de Finnabair, Prima Marketing

Hello everyone,   This post is going to be very long, and I apologize in advance. Today I am going to share with you my very first review, about the acrylic paint from Finnabair and Prima Marketing. I am sure there are plenty of reviews, but I wanted to do my own. I don't have (yet :D) every single acrylic paint from Finnabair (I think there are more than 40 colours!) but I am starting to have a nice collection. For now, I have 18 of them, from three different collections, plus a wax (which I won't present now, because it's... [Lire la suite]
